Who doesn't love brownies?! Making your own is such a fun activity to do with young kids and its also inexpensive! You also know exactly what ingredients go into the brownies! I’m amazed at how simple these are to make, yet taste delicious and are super fudgy, fluffy + moist! Thanks to our amazing girl Lala for this delicious recipe!
INGREDIENTS
- 3 medium bananas (358g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5g)
- 3 scoops chocolate protein powder (87g)
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (25g)
- 1 teaspoon bicarb soda (2g)
- pinch of sea salt
- 3 squares milk chocolate (25g) - optional
BAKING
1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tin with baking paper.
2. Mash banana in a large mixing bowl until smooth and no chunks remain.
3. Add vanilla extract, protein powder, cocoa powder, bicarb soda and sea salt and mix well together until a smooth batter is formed.
4. Pour batter into prepared lined baking tin.
5. Crush chocolate squares and add to the top of brownie batter.
6. Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes, or until brownies are cooked through.
7. Allow to slightly cool. Slice into 16 equally sized portions and enjoy!
Notes: 56 calories per brownie, 5g protein, 7g carb, 1g fat. Serves 16.
