We are excited to introduce you to the wonderful instructors who lead Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Barre, HIIT, Yoga and Stretch classes at our Camp Hill, Coorparoo and Milton studios! Premium Pilates and Fitness begin in 2012 with just myself and my husband Chris teaching, but over the years our instructor family has grown to include these wonderful individuals! A: "Feet in straps" makes me happy - probably vertical lift if I have to choose one

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: The healthiest thing I have done for myself is become alcohol-free 2 years ago (I went pro and retired early!). Slowing down is a focus, yin yoga once a week for relaxation, and watching the Brisbane Lions for activation! It's all about balance!

A: The Monk who sold his Ferrari - Robin Sharma - a blueprint to a happy life!

Allison

A: Maintain a consistent exercise routine, as much as possible with a 2.5 year old!

A: On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous was my favourite recent read, and a movie I always laugh and cry at is 500 Days of Summer.

A: My favourite exercise would have to be Side Lying Glutes (FOB), its simple but challenging - a great burn on the glutes!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: Pilates and dance! They compliment each other well and help strengthen my body in different ways.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in three words?

A: Passionate, supportive and challenging.

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: I absolutely love the movie Dirty Dancing! Could watch it on repeat!

Maddie

A: Anything glutes but especially jaw with some cheeky internal and external rotation. Spicy on the mat or reformer!

A: LOVE Pilates, barre, regular walks in the sun and making sure to laugh everyday.

A: Fun, Challenging and Inclusive.

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: Latest fave book is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and fave movies are 10 Things I Hate About You and She's the Man (which I must have watched at least 500 times as a teenager!).

Q: What is your fave Pilates exercise?

A: Cobra (maybe that comes from sitting and working in an office for so many years!) It feels invigorating.

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: 80/20 rule with food & most things! Always make sure I get to bed early & get a good nights sleep and start my day with water, breathing & meditation. Fitness wise enjoy swimming laps and love walks in nature and of course yoga & Pilates. Keen to add in weight sessions this year.

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: Meditate!!! Never miss a day!!! Gotta keep the mind healthy! I also take my pup Spud for big walks - We used to live in Double Bay, Sydney and we'd walk to Bondi Beach most days - Such a lovely walk! When I'm not being a Pilates girly I love hitting the pads for some Muay Thai Kickboxing!

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in three words?

A: FAST, STRONG & FLOWING!

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: I'm an actor so this is a really hard Q! One that I can never seem to answer because I love so many & my tastes are so varied but I'm a sucker for a movie-musical!! Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie & Anne Hathaway are my FAVE actors so anything they do!

Q: What is your fave Pilates exercise?

A: Thats a tough one, I have so many favourite exercises but my most favourite exercises would have to be flying lunges and a plank to pike to end a spicy core set!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: I've always lived a very healthy lifestyle. I love training and racing in long course triathlons, racing in expedition races, being outdoors and doing Pilates. I have a little baby now so he certainly keeps me moving and on my toes all day long! I live by the 80/20 rule, 80% of good nutritious foods and 20% for sanity, life is all about balance!

A: Juicy, Spicy, Flowy!

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: Gone with the Wind, best classic movie ever! Oh and Barbie!

Freya

Q: What is your fave Pilates exercise?

A: My favourite Pilates exercise is short spine massage, it was one of the most daunting when I first started Pilates but now it is my favourite way to finish a class.

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: Besides Pilates, I keep healthy through getting in heaps of walking. My favourite walk is the river loop around from the Maritime Museum through the Botanic Gardens, the city, cross the Story Bridge and past Kangaroo Point Cliffs.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in three words?

A: Illustrative, engaging, but chilled

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: Tough question for me, I am definitely a reading nerd. I recently finished Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy (and inflicted upon my friends and family all of my hot takes on why it is NOT a romance novel but actually a scathing criticism of the over-idealisation of romantic love) but I also love my Sarah J. Maas, can't go wrong with a genuine fantasy romance (no notes).

Katey

Q: What is your fave Pilates exercise?

A: Ooft, like choosing between my fav pet.  For Reformer, it is a tie between semi-circle and short spine. With Mat, it's a tie between Rolling Like a Ball (fun) and the Roll Up (functional).

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: Lots of Pilates! But also, daily walks in nature, a minimum of 8 hr sleep, and lots and lots of veggies.

A: Drink lots of water, go on walks with my son Billy, pilates at home and cardio tennis!

A: Anything plank related! I remember when Emily first taught me plank variations many many moons ago. They are so tough, but it's so rewarding to finish a plank because it challenges every muscle group and you feel so proud (and puffed) afterward!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: I think true health needs to be approached with a holistic perspective. I move my body every day but how I move depends on how my body feels. I meditate and have a consistent morning and bedtime routine to help keep me in good spirits. I find things that bring me joy daily to keep my soul healthy. There is a big connection between our mental and physical health so I ensure that I take care of both to keep me feeling healthy.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in three words?

A: Challenging, energetic and FUNdamental

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: I love any book that is based on a true story, or a book/movie that inspires me to be the best version of me! Right now I am reading The Choice; A True Story of Hope by Edith Eva Eger who is a Holocaust survivor. It is incredibly moving and inspiring!

Sandy

Q: What is your fave Pilates exercise?

A: Ohhh! It’s tough to choose one exercise! A leg series holds a special place in my heart! I love doing lunges, squads and feet in straps on the reformer, they are so much fun and the body always feels great after those shaking moments!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: I usually try to fit a 45 minute to 1 hour variation workout routine during the day, 5 days a week. Sometimes reformer, mat work or bootcamp to keep myself moving and I try to eat clean whenever I can!

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in three words?

A: Fundamental, Layers and Fun!

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: I have loved watching movies since I was a little kid, there are so many great movies I watched multiple times, but my all time favourite is called “The Terminal” by Tom Hanks, especially when I found out it’s based on a true story!

Q: Tell us a little about yourself Terri:

A: I'm a certified reiki master and practice energetic healing. Im also a trained in traditional and myofascial cupping. Im an intuitive card reader with an extensive card collection. I'm a single mum of four, two boys one dinosaur and a diva. They definitely make life more interesting if not challenging.

Q: What is your favourite book/movie:

A: I'm really fond of reading; Jilly Coopers Riders books are special as my nana would share them with me along with the Patrica Cornwell books.

Q: What you love about PPF?

A: Working for PPF is like joining a family everyone is supportive of each other and genuinely nice people.

Q: What is your favourite Pilates exercise?  

A: So hard to choose only 1 – anything legs in straps, and good old Scooter for the butt burn!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: Try and eat well, minimise drinking too much wine, take my Cavoodle Molly for walks and of course, yoga and some gym work. I also try and do a Savasana every day to keep the mental energy strong also – mental health is just as important as the physical!

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words? 

A: Encouraging, challenging and hopefully fun!

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: I saw the new Top Gun recently and loved it! As for books, textbooks have been all I have read in the last two and half years, but I am looking forward to getting back into some fiction novels when my study is completed shortly.

A: Other than Pilates, Barre and HIIT, I enjoy working out with my PT each week, going for long relaxing walks and practicing Yin Yoga to unwind.

A: My favourite book is a tie between The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien and Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. My favourite film is The Wizard of Oz.

A: I love a good supine abdominal series workout.  Super tough and challenging but always a great strength builder.

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: I try to move my body as much as I can.  Outside of Pilates I also do Cross fit as well as swimming when the weather warms up.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words? 

A: Creative, fun and high energy.

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: I absolutely love movies so it's hard to pick just one! I'm definitely a frequent flyer at the Dendy Coorparoo Cinemas (especially during Oscars season).  I would say an all time favourite though is Singing in the Rain.

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: I do Pilates 4 times a week, outdoor walks and try to eat food that I know is going to fuel my body but also some food that’s good for the soul!

A: Energetic, challenging, fun.

A: My favourite current book is Think Like A Monk by Jay Shetty and my movie choice would have to be Bridesmaids!

A: To stay healthy I smash PPF classes on the daily but also love walking and hiking with friends as the debrief is just as important as the physical activity. I also balance it out with a very HEALTHY social life!!

A: I love hip rolls because they feel great on the spine and bite in to the glutes!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: I'm studying to become a naturopath, so health is kind of my passion! It's the little healthy habits we do every day that keep us well. For me, that's a focus on nutrition, movement, nature and rest.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words? 

A: Inclusive, cheerful & focused

A: Any story that can make me cry usually wins me over, which to be honest is not very hard!

A: I absolutely love side lying feet in straps series for glutes.

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: Meditation is crucial to help clear my mind because I tend to stress and stress tends to lock my body up. I also aim for at least 30 mins of some form of movement every day - a class, my own class, a walk - any form of movement.

A: My favourite pilates exercise changes a lot, but I always love hip rolls, planks, and anything for the abdominals!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: To keep healthy, I try to stay organised and write lots of lists so I can make time for everything (and everyone) I love.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words? 

A: fun, challenging, and calming.

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: I don’t make a lot of time to sit down, but my favourite books/movies would be anything about art or fashion!

A: Glutes in the straps, especially the clam series.

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: I love exercising, not just for my physical health but for my mental health. I absolutely love working out and I will always make time for it because I know it makes me feel good and in return I’m a better person.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words? 

A: hopefully PPF clients find me (tough) but (fun) and (energetic!)

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: I absolutely LOVE the Mamma Mia movies, I love singing along to the music! The best book I have read is the biography of Portia De Rossi.

Ash J

Q: What is your favourite Pilates exercise?  

A: Pikes! I think pikes are super fun and fires up your core,  a challenge compared to a standard plank.

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: I try to exercise everyday either going for a running, taking a Pilates class or going for a walk; it’s important for me to move my body everyday. I also try to eat good foods, lots of fruit and veggies and drink plenty of water.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words? 

A: I would like my clients to think my instructing style as energetic, creative and challenging.

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: My favourite movie is Good Will Hunting, because who doesn’t like Mat Damen!

Meg

Q: What is your favourite Pilates exercise?  

A: I love them all!! But if I have to choose one it would be 4 point kneeling glutes. Feel the burn through your glutes while using your core and shoulders to stabilising, it's an all over combo.  

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: It’s about balance. I love to bake lots of yummy things but I also like to make sure that I keep my body happy by fuelling it with lots of goodness. And don't forget to move your body, pilates and walking are my go to!!

A: Uplifting, encouraging & passionate

Zoe

Q: What is your favourite Pilates exercise?  

A: My favourite Pilates exercise is rolling like a ball! It’s such a great combination of core and correct use of breath to perform the exercise- and it’s super fun!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: Fortunately my job keeps me very active and fit. I also love to do different types of exercise in my free time like walking/HIIT/Dance. But I also have learnt about good nutrition from when I was a professional dancer to fuel my body correctly. But I do love some dark chocolate most days:)

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words? 

A: My instructing style is a combination between what I’ve learnt during my dance career as well as the many mentors I’ve have during my Pilates training. So I would have to say that I’m all about moving slowly through movements (much harder than moving fast), adding some sort of creative twist to exercises and also to have fun!

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: My favourite movie is Ace Ventura! I love Jim Carrey! It’s such a weird and hilarious film and I think I know every line!

Q: What is your favourite Pilates exercise?  

A: In reformer, I love sides over the box and truthfully - I love all mat exercises!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: I had back surgery when I was 40 so I’m very conscious of trying to stay fit and healthy and doing exercises that agree with my body.  I try to god at least 6 classes of pilates per week, I do one class of yoga and I also walk a few times per week.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words? 

A: Loud, energetic and (hopefully) fun!

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: I really love reading so to choose a favourite book would be like choosing which of my children I love the most. My favourite movie is easy “The Princess Bride”!

A: Plank to Pike for some reason! It makes me feel like a kid! 

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: Energy healing, lots of mindfulness, long walks, pilates of course & I eat what I’m craving when I crave it so I don’t binge. 

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words? 

A: Uplifting, challenging and rewarding

Q: What is your favourite book / movie? 

A: Book - Many Lives, Many Masters Dr Brian Weiss. Film - Burlesque (it's a total feel good film).

A: This is so hard to answer, like picking your favourite food!!! They are all so amazing but on the reformer I love elephant flowing into Upstretch 1 & 2.

Q: What do you do to keep healthy? 

A: Happiness makes me feel healthy, taking care of my mind and body together. I love eating food, I love doing Pilates and both make me happy (just can't do them at the same time)

A: Intuitive, flowing and energetic.

A: Pulp Fiction

A: The Clam! So great for peachy glutes and healthy hips!

Q: What do you do to keep healthy?

A: I ensure I participate in my own personal practice of Pilates/yoga/bush walks and use sleep meditations to help quiet the mind and drift off to sleep promptly.

Q: How would you describe your instructing style in 3 words?

A: Calm, flowing, down-to-earth (that's kind of three words lol).

A: Elf - its a Christmas classic!
